Janice Pastorek, BSN, RN has been a consultant and adviser to physicians and beauty corporations around the world. Educated at Georgetown University, she has been a guest professor at medical meetings internationally, teaching skin rejuvenation and aesthetic techniques. She has spoken at the New York Academy of Medicine, The American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and she was featured on Lifetime television for her advances in skin rejuvenation techniques. Janice has collaborated with Estee Lauder on product development and physician instruction, worked as an instructor and advisor for Unilever-Dove, and was the first scientific lecturer to be featured in a product launch for Guerlain. She has consulted for numerous companies including Dove, Coty, Camay, Vaseline Intensive Care, and Mustela.
In the rapidly evolving aesthetic field of medicine, Janice is always seeking new technologies and strategies for improving health. Many medical laser companies have recognized her passion in advancements and innovations with light and energy based tools for skin rejuvenation. Janice speaks more often with the founding biochemist or laser engineer of a company than with their sales staff. Her work with Dusa Pharmaceuticals improved protocols for their photodynamic drug Levulan, used to treat sun-damaged and acne-prone skin. Coty sought her expertise in the development of skincare products in which Janice and those products have been featured on the HSN television channel.
Janice also brings to the practice her training in homeopathy, which has helped to significantly minimize bruising, swelling and anxiety associated with treatments and surgery. The website Live the Process has featured her story and insights. She is a published author on skincare - her chapter titled ”Simple Solutions to Common Skin Problems” in Management of Facial Lines and Wrinkles was published by Lippincott, Williams and Wilkins.
